An academy has been launched by the Antique Wine Company in response to an increased demand to know more about wine. The AWC Wine Academy is based in Marylebone, and will help the clients of AWC to extend their knowledge of wine. The Antique Wine Company has a passion for antique vintages and look to produce future antique wines.

John Stimpfig, wine journalist is the director, while highly respected experts in wine will be guest tutors, including Tim Atkin MW and other Masters of Wine, one of the highest standards of professional knowledge in the wine industry.

Essential Wine Tasting Techniques for Beginners will be the first series of courses in September, with Tim Atkin as tutor. The managing director, Stephen Williams said:

“We are delighted to be able to offer such high quality courses that will be run by high calibre tutors, who are current leading experts in the wine field.”

The Antique Wine company are looking beyond the provision of basic knowledge for people who know very little about wine. They are hoping to become a resource which is central to the wine industry, for people who work with wine and want to know more. The Antique Wine Company are hoping to offer training for people in the hospitality industry, both in the UK and abroad.

The same passion and enthusiasm can be discovered in the Lancashire area, where you will find a host of antique dealers who will gladly share their knowledge of antiques, from antique dining chairs to antique desks.
