Reid Dunavant, an appraiser from the Antiques Roadshow, will be giving a talk at the Chestertown Antiques Show and Sale, in the US state of Maryland, on Thanksgiving weekend later this month.
The show will be celebrating the 50th year of supporting the Kent Association of Riding Therapy.
Dunavant is also the senior vice president of Doyle New York and has more than 25 years’ experience in the world of auctions. Every year, the show combines a number of special activities with the production of quality merchandise that appeals to antiques collectors and enthusiasts of all interests and ages.
Exhibitors will display quality antique furniture, jewellery and art, but will be joined by exhibitors displaying nautical objects, decoys, oyster plates and historical artefacts. The customers at the show will be able to interact easily with the exhibitors, while the show offers a selection for collectors at all levels.
The opening evening on Friday 29th November will be a celebration of the 50th anniversary, to thank those who have helped to support KART. The following day will feature Reid Dunavant’s talk, which is titled ‘Elegance and Decadence-The Apex of Fine Dining’. Dunavant may include details of fine antique dining tables or chairs during his talk.
KART provides therapy in the form of horseback riding for adults and children who have disabilities, helping them to enhance their cognitive, emotional and physical growth.
For those who live in the UK and are unable to attend the Chestertown Antiques Show, a range of antique dining tables can be discovered in Lancashire.
