Ferneham Hall in Fareham will be welcoming antiques expert Eric Knowles in March, who will share his knowledge of the world of antiques with visitors. Eric will spend time during the show sharing his varied experiences and anecdotes with the audience, followed by an appraisal of a selection of antiques.

Eric Knowles spent 20 years working as an expert on the popular TV show Antiques Roadshow, which airs on BBC. Over the years, he has perfected the technique of sharing knowledge with an audience and making it easy to understand.

As the world of antiques has spent decades shrouded in mystery, Eric is preparing to share his secrets about the industry with his audience on 1st March at Ferneham Hall.

The show, Antiques Antics, will feature a number of amusing anecdotes accompanied by images. The first part of the show will include the Lancashire-born expert sharing his knowledge from more than 30 years of experience in the industry.

The second part of the show will include appraisals on some items brought along by the audience. Eric will pick 25 pieces to be included from the welcome party and the meet and greet session.

Many antiques experts specialise in one subject, giving talks on television and presentations at auctions and other events. For those collectors looking for a piece of antique furniture, an established dealer will be able to provide information. For those searching for that special piece, like open bookcases, Preston has a number of experienced dealers who can provide advice.
