The New York Antique Jewellery and Watch Show will celebrate five years this year, with the anniversary event being held at the prestigious venue, the Metropolitan Pavilion. From 22nd to 25th July 2011, antique jewellery lovers will be able to enjoy the presence of many new traders in addition to previous exhibitors.
The exhibition will be showing pieces from Rolex, Van Cleef & Arpels, Harry Winston, Cartier, Tiffany & Co and Patek Phillipe plus many more. Among the new exhibitors will be Texas and Provockative Gems, Lucky Diamond, Corpus Christi, Hays Worthington, FEI and Phenomenal Jewels, all based in New York. The exhibition opens a day prior to the renowned JA New York Summer Show and has hardly any spaces left for traders.
One of the latest exhibitors, Lucky Diamonds’ representative Anatoly Cherkassky ws reported in Rapnet as saying the show would be a great venue for trading, especially as the retail market is experiencing slow growth. The director of the exhibition, Andrea Canady admits that as New York is the world’s jewellery capital, dealers will be eager to appear at the exhibition. Canady also welcomed the new traders to the exhibition, adding that the dealers will have a private setting to conduct business and network. The public are also expected to flock to the exhibition, enjoying the opportunity to make purchases from the same place as the dealers.
For those residents of Cumbria who can’t get to New York to seek out antique furniture traders, there is plenty of antique marquetry furniture available closer to home.
