The owner of an antique shop claims that a rocking horse was mysteriously thrown around his shop by ghosts.

He has CCTV footage that shows the 1960s rocking horse moving without anything being close to it. In the video from the CCTV cameras, the horse starts rocking then appears to be thrown off a shelf to the ground, seemingly all by itself.

The owner of the Barnsley Antiques Centre in South Yorkshire, Daniel Parker, told the Daily Mirror:

“The thing is I’ve tried recreating the movement. I’ve tried moving the toy backward and forwards in the way that it does on film, but it’s just impossible to recreate it.

“That movement just looks like it would have to be somebody on it. There’s absolutely no explanation.”

This is not the first eerie incident the shop has experienced. Parker goes on to claim that there have been hundreds of strange occurrences. Examples of these include a cabinet once exploding inside the shop and pictures on the walls moving.

The shop was formerly an 18th-Century mill. The mill owner died on the premises, giving rise to a belief among some that he is haunting the building.

Antique shops sell objects that are hundreds of years old, but is rare for antiques to come with a ghostly presence. Fine antique cabinets, antique desks, and antique sofas can be purchased in Lancashire antique shops and safely placed in the home without the fear of them mysteriously moving in the night.
