TV personality David Harper is putting his expert antiques knowledge to good use as he buys and sells antiques to raise money for the charity Cash for Kids.
Although dealing with antiques is his regular business, this time he’s using his own money to buy valuable items before trying to sell top contacts. The antics of David Harper will be aired on the BBC show Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, which will be on TV before the year end.
Harper is competing with Mark Stacey to sell items for as much profit as possible, raising more for the charity. According to Harper, the experts go off on their travels and buy items which they believe they can sell at a decent profit.
The TV show features the experts using any method possible to secure a sale. Harper has completed the buying process and is now starting to locate contacts locally so he can begin selling his 30 items. The profit he makes will all go to Cash for Kids.
In addition to filming for the show, Harper is also filming for popular TV programmes The Antiques Road Trip and Bargain Hunt, so he is reportedly looking forward to a break from filming during winter. Selling the items may be a little easier if, like an antique dining table or chairs, they are useful in an everyday settling. Lancashire has a number of antiques dealers who have items like this available.
